WEAVER STAND-OFF ADJUSTABLE BRACKET

Description

These WEAVER STAND-OFF ADJUSTABLE BRACKET are adjustable stand-off brackets which stand the dinghy off from the transom of the yacht. If the standard length brackets do not suit the length you need to fit your boat and dinghy a WEAVER STAND-OFF ADJUSTABLE BRACKET will allow this system to fit your boat. Stand-offs are sold as a pair, and come with four L-Clips for storage and attaching to the dinghy.

When your dinghy has lifted into the snap Davit Heads on the swim platform or transom of your powerboat or yacht, the stand-off brackets support the dinghy in an upright position. They can be for use on all popular hard-shelled dinghies and inflatable boats. These stand-off brackets pivot back to the boat’s transom and clip neatly in place when not in use.

• Use with the Weaver Stand Off rubber pads, RP301 – RP304 or L-Clips.
• Includes a pair of stand-off brackets with integral eyebstraps (single clip models) for attaching to the boat, and four Stand-off L-Clips – two for attaching the bow and stern of a hard-shell dinghy, and two for attaching to the transom of your yacht for stowage when the dinghy is for use (or you can use tubing clips for this purpose)
• For inflatable dinghies, an L-Clip can be for use on the rigid transom, but it is recommended that you purchase a Rubber Stand-Off Pad (sold separately) glued to the bow for clipping into the bracket (sometimes the L-Clip can be attached to an existing bow locker on an inflatable)
•  Spring-loaded thumb lever disengages the pin, for one-handed operation
• Eye and pin ends let the brackets swivel in any direction

In the early 1980’s Bob and Virginia Weaver turned the boating industry upside down with the invention of the revolutionary Weaver Snap Davit the SD1. Previously more than one boater had taken an unexpected swim while getting in or out of their dinghy! The SD1 changed all of that as Weaver’s design allowed boaters to attach davits to special hooks mounted on the boat’s swim platform. These Weaver Snap Davits made it possible for boaters to enter and exit their dinghy safely with combination of Weaver Stand Off’s, dinghies could now have mounting securely on the back of boats.

As the popularity of inflatable dinghies grew in the late 1980’s the need for a davit that worked for these new designs also grew. Based on the success of the SD1, boaters turned to Weaver for a solution. The result was the RBD100 with the special rubber pads to attach mounts to the tubes of the inflatable.
