To date, the small amount of Cadmium used in the production of zinc anodes has been “claimed, ” by a number of regulators to pose “no threat” to the environment. We’d, however; recognize that the perception of a Cadmium-containing alloy is of concern for many of our customers.
As a result of our commitment to the environment and our employees, we have developed Martyr Premium (Aluminum) and Martyr Freshwater (Magnesium) anodes that have no added Cadmium in their manufacturing process.
Benefits of Martyr Zinc-less Anodes: In addition to being environmentally friendly, our Martyr Premium (Aluminum) and Martyr Freshwater (Magnesium) anodes are much lighter than the traditional zinc anode that they replace, resulting in significant savings of fuel to transport and energy to install.
The improved efficiency and performance of Martyr Premium (Aluminum) and Martyr Freshwater (Magnesium) Anodes results in longer life and improved corrosion protection thereby reducing the number of anodes required and increasing the time between replacements.
The alloy components of our Martyr Premium (Aluminum) anode contain low cadmium and only a fraction of the zinc used in making traditional zinc anode. The two remaining components, Aluminum, and Indium are non-toxic.
CMP is the only company that has the capability to produce anodes that perform in all three (boating) water types.
