TRUDESIGN COLLAR LOAD BEARING

$39.99$44.99

These TRUDESIGN COLLAR LOAD BEARING are designed for use with TruDesign thru-hull/skin fittings and ball valves. With the collar in place, the thru-hull/skin fitting-ball valve-hose tail assembly will withstand a 500lb (227 kg) static force applied to the hose tail end of the assembly, for a minimum of 30 seconds – complying with North American ABYC H-27 standards. Please note the TRUDESIGN COLLAR LOAD BEARING 1 1/4″, 1 1/2″, 2″ thru-hull/skin fittings meet the requirements of H-27 500Lb standard (i.e. without a large collar installed). However, adding a large collar to assemblies of this size increases the overall strength and protects the vulnerable exposed section of thread on the thru-hull/skin fitting.

Features:

  • American ABYC H-27 – 500Lb static load test – TRUDESIGN thru-hull/skin fittings and ball valves meet the American ABYC H-27 – 500Lb static load test; Seacocks, Thru-Hull Fittings, and Drain Plugs – independently verified by IMANNA Laboratory Inc.
  • For sizes 1¼” through to 3” the ABYC collar it is not a requirement to meet this static load test.
  • TruDesign ABYC load bearing collar is required for the size ¾ and 1” to meet this static load test.
  • The ½” does not meet the 500Lb static load test with or without the ABYC collar
  • Compact footprint, and no additional bolts or fasteners required through, or on to the hull
  • Ability to retrofit to existing TruDesign assemblies
  • Compatible with all hull types across a wide range of hull thicknesses
  • Shrouded protection
  • Fool-proof assembly – if not snug when tightened the thru-hull/skin fittings length will need shortening.
  • Manufactured from a glass reinforced nylon composite
  • Immune to corrosion and electrolysis

Sizes:

  • Small (for ½”, ¾” & 1″ thru-hull/skin fittings)
  • Medium (for 1¼” & 1½” thru-hull/skin fittings)
  • Large (for 2″ thru-hull/skin fittings)
