KUUMA BBQ REGULATORS are replacement regulators for Kuuma’s Stow & Go BBQ’s. These KUUMA BBQ REGULATORS regulates the flow of propane gas to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the BBQ.

Every grill needs a regulator between the propane tank and the BBQ grill. The propane to any grill needs to be regulated down from the pressure at the propane tank. It generates a consistent and controlled supply of gas for efficient and safe barbecuing.

Description

KUUMA BBQ REGULATORS are replacement regulators for Kuuma’s Stow & Go BBQ’s. These KUUMA BBQ REGULATORS regulates the flow of propane gas to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the BBQ.

Every grill needs a regulator between the propane tank and the BBQ grill. The propane to any grill needs to be regulated down from the pressure at the propane tank. It generates a consistent and controlled supply of gas for efficient and safe barbecuing.

There are three primary operating components working together to regulate the pressure within the regulator valve. The loading mechanism, often a spring, determines the delivery pressure. The sensing element, or diaphragm, senses the force against the spring. Finally, the control element accomplishes the reduction of the inlet pressure through to the outlet pressure.

Gas enters the regulator’s chamber, putting pressure on the diaphragm. The diaphragm then moves upward as controlled by the set spring. This allows a specific flow of propane from the tank or cylinder to the appliance or device. Adjusting the control knob determines the rate of flow and the pressure. Turning clockwise will push the diaphragm down and allow more gas to come into the valve. Turn counter-clockwise to reduce the amount of fuel and pressure.

If you’re uncertain how to spot a faulty propane regulator, here are some signs:
  1. Gas leaks
  2. Low flame or heat output
  3. Yellow or orange flame
  4. Sudden shutdowns
  5. Frost or ice on the regulator
  6. Unusual whistling sounds
  7. Excessive gas consumption
  8. Visible damage.
