The VOLVO PENTA 832965 RING SAILDRIVE 110 is a line cutter for the Volvo Penta Saildrive 110,and the Volvo Penta AQ200 sterndrive. This VOLVO PENTA 832965 RING SAILDRIVE 110 is not needed when using an Ambassador rope cutter, but the fish line/rope cutter needs to be fitted if the Ambassador rope cutter is no longer used.
If this line cutter, part number 832965, is not fitted on sterndrive models AQ110S, AQ200, it is replaced with a propeller thrust washer. This thrust washer fits on the prop shaft behind the propeller acting as a spacer, and is designed in a way that it prevents the propeller (and itself) from moving forward under thrust. It also helps to keep the propeller centered on the shaft even under high torque.
